Time

My parents always wanted that I should study in schools that prioritise routines and discipline. So, I studied in a school run by Jesuit priests. The strict discipline at school was so addictive that as if I did not have enough. Consequently, I went to a Jesuit college to finish my graduation. Although, this chain of event was broken in my post-graduation, my actions even now are significantly influenced by my 17 years of experience gathered in Jesuit institutes.

These days when I see people in their mid-30s have no regard to timeliness, doing things at last minute, I cannot stop being grumpy inside as timeliness was engrained in me by my school. We were taught to be always on time and there were severe consequences of not being on time. Since, we hardly questioned these rules, we learnt.

The other day someone told me, he is fond of buying watches – I could not stop myself from reminding him, but he is hardly on time! I wonder if I had offended the sensitive young soul!
